Main purpose of the job

The successful candidate will support our Consulting – Enterprise Technology and Performance team in introducing, developing, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions, specifically cloud integration platforms. You will be in direct dialog with our clients and be responsible for developing customized solution approaches for architecture, process, deployment, and products around the integration space. This position will be based in our Nairobi office in Kenya.

Job Description

Develop integration solutions using integration iPaaS tools like MuleSoft, Boomi etc.

Provide technical expertise in large, complex environments.

Effectively work with internal and external customers.

Carry out detailed requirements analysis, software design, development, testing, deployment and production support for iPaaS Interface Applications e.g. MuleSoft, Boomi etc.

Provide training to team members to build knowledge and skills on iPaaS technologies e.g. MuleSoft, Boomi etc.

Participate in the analysis and composition of requirements, design and implementation of test plan, and documentation of the final product.

Knowledge in ADO and/or familiar with using ADO.

Contribute to the practice by working on improvements to existing software programs.

Technical supervision of software engineers.

Successful execution and alerting team leads and managers of obstacles, issues and risks.

Coordinate / engage build movements to the load environment as directed by Team Lead.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any other related field.

At least 5 years professional programming experience, ideally in the Integration space.

At least 2 years hands-on experience in iPaaS tools like MuleSoft and Boomi.

Experience in API development lifecycle including writing API specifications.

Solid API designing skills and experience in dealing with e2e application development and support on iPaaS tools like MuleSoft, Boomi etc.

Design, code, test, document, and deploy solutions using standard toolings in the market.

Good understanding of underlying integration platform architecture, services and other out-of-the-box features.

Experience in continuous integration and continuous development using at least some DevOps tooling e.g. JIRA, Jenkins, BitBucket etc.

Knowledge of programming languages like JAVA, Python, Javascript etc.

Knowledge of messaging frameworks and principles such as JMS (Java Message Service), Kafka etc. dealt with Integration use cases and landscapes.

Knowledge of Command Line Interface (CLI) in Linux, MacOS or any other Unix system.

Relevant MuleSoft certifications preferably MuleSoft Associate, Developer and Architect Certifications.
