Main Purpose of Job

To support Engagement Managers in the delivery of services on delegated engagements / projects.

Specialized Capabilities

Registering individual taxpayers for income tax

Calculating, completing and electronically filing provisional income tax returns for individuals

Calculating, completing and electronically filing final income tax returns for individuals

Reconciling income tax assessments received from the South African Revenue Service

Researching and preparing objections to the South African Revenue Service on incorrect assessments

Corresponding with the South African Revenue Service on follow ups on clients affairs

Update and use of internal software (local and global)

Client facing role

Preparation and calculation of estimates and hypothetical tax calculations

Analyzing monthly work in progress, assisting with issuing of bills to clients and monthly follow ups with clients to settle invoices

Qualifications

Required

B Com with H Dip Tax qualification

3 years’ experience as specialist in Expatriate Tax Compliance

Previous experience dealing with the South African Revenue Service would be advantageous

Good knowledge of the Income Tax Act No 58 of 1962

High level of business acumen

Excellent report writing skills

Numeric aptitude

Ability to multi task is crucial

Strong organization skills

Deadline driven

Ability to perform under pressure
