Deloitte Chief Executive Officer Jobs in Kenya
ResponsibilitiesExecute and communicate the Board's strategies, decisions and policies;
Provide overall day to day leadership and administration of operations under the guidance of the Board;
Develop and recommend to the Board short, medium and long term strategies, business plans, annual operating budgets, while establishing internal monitoring and control systems and procedures;
Manage internal multi-disciplinary teams and their interactions with external parties including key regulatory agencies and development partners to ensure achievement of set objectives; Develop and strengthen networks and partnerships with other government entities and departments, the private sector and development partners, while spearheading collaborations and fundraising initiatives for regulatory projects implementation;
Direct and coordinate operations and administration to ensure that the institutional divisions operate in conformity with the overall strategic plan and performance targets;
Advise the Board of Directors on regulatory operations, financial management and sustainable regulatory programmes while eliminating any forms of risks;
Ensure compliance with applicable statutory, legal and any other government policies and directives;
Promote the Board's image and maintain a conducive work environment for attracting, retaining and motivating employees while fostering a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices and good corporate citizenship; Perform such other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications
Doctoral (Phd) level qualification in biological sciences, biotechnology or related field, with research experience in related fields Must be a member in good standing, and registered with the relevant professional body Certification in risk management will be an added advantage
Experience in working
with government, national and international partners will be an added advantage
At least 15 years' experience with at least 5 years in senior management
Must provide evidence of compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya on Integrity and Ethics requirements i.e., certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, clearance certificate from HELB, tax compliance certificate from KRA, clearance from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission and report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau.
Strategic management skills;
Effective conflict and dispute prevention and resolution skills;
Sound knowledge of relevant laws in public financial management, public procurement and disposal and the Kenya Constitution; Visionary, transformative and result-oriented strategic thinker;
Ability to work in multi-cultural and multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity;
Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills;
Capacity to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
