Main purpose of the roleWithin Financial Services Advisory, we develop and grow our Financial Risk, Treasury and Capital Management services by delivering client projects, bringing practical experience to the team and building Deloitte’s eminence in this space.
The Corporate Treasury service line specializes in providing financial, treasury and risk advisory services to non-financial institutions.
Such companies are typically faced with challenges such as:
Lack of formal liquidity structures, resulting in sub-optimal cash management practices, poor visibility of available cash and high interest cost and bank charges.
Managing volatility in currency and commodity markets with hedging strategies that are effective from both an economic and accounting perspective
No formal regulatory guidance defining best practice in terms of operating models, governance and controls.
Lack of, or poorly implemented, treasury management systems, resulting in a compromised or inefficient operating environment.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Honours or Masters Degree in Financial Risk Management or equivalent Treasury-related qualification.
Required Experience
2-5 years in related areas.
In-depth understanding of financial derivatives, hedging and liquidity management.
Experience in financial risk measurement and analysis in terms of all standard risk metrics.
Governance and controls, policies and procedure documentation.
Willingness to travel to regions such as Africa, Middle East, Europe, etc.
Excellent report writing skills.

Technical understanding of technology platforms, operating systems, system development life cycle, change management, information security, databases
