Main Purpose of JobTo support the Indirect Tax manager/team in providing professional and robust tax and legal advice on all Global Tax Advisory matters. Develop high-performing people and teams, leading and supporting them to make an impact that matters, and setting the direction to deliver exceptional client service
Qualifications & Experience requiredRequiredB Com or LLB
3 years working experience/ Accounting Experience
PreferredPostgraduate qualification in Taxation
3 -5 years in a client facing role with detailed knowledge of the Customs Act/regulations and case law
Specialized Technical Capabilities Compliance Planning - Spots consulting opportunities arising from compliance;
Consultancy and Compliance - Identifies opportunities to integrate customs and industry service offerings
Tax Authority Relationship Management - Prepares and collates supporting documentation to be submitted to
the customs authorities on client’s behalf
Tax Transaction Rules - Helps determine customs issues and proposes solutions
Customs and Trade Rules - Assesses the impact of changes in laws by applying knowledge of trade flows and processes including imports, exports and supply chain security programs
Core Professional Technical Capabilities
Tax Laws and Rules - Applies knowledge and skills of relevant practices and processes (or relevant customs rules and regulations) in area of specialization to client problems; Presents findings, recommends and implements advice independently relevant to customs and consults others as needed; Reviews written technical advice, reports, memoranda and/or other deliverables relevant to customs laws and rules for adequacy of research conducted and appropriateness and accuracy of conclusions; Assesses the business impact of recent developments and changes relating to area of customs specialization for clients

Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving - Interprets and synthesizes data, exercises professional skepticism to challenge data, and identifies meaningful insights to develop recommendations that most effectively support a client’s business objectives
