Job Description

Main Purpose of Job
  • We are looking for Actuarial Analysts (with at least 2 years of experience) to Senior Actuarial Analysts with Life Insurance experience to join the EDT.

  • The roles provide, an opportunity to develop a deep understanding of technical issues by delivering on a wide variety of projects within the EDT. These include but are not limited to:
  • Reserving, and capital modelling
  • IFRS 17, Solvency II and other regulatory projects
  • Large scale projects to transform insurer’s financial, actuarial, and reporting processes
  • Actuarial specialist work on external audits of a wide range of insurers
  • Due Diligence and support for a variety of insurer Corporate Transactions
  • Model validation work

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications
  • An actuarial science degree with a preference for candidates that have completed an Honours degree.
  • Partly qualified actuaries showing good progress through the actuarial exams.

    Minimum Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience
  • Working experience in the Life Insurance actuarial domain is preferred
  • Actuarial valuation experience
  • Experience of capital and solvency calculations, reserving and reinsurance will be advantageous
  • Experience in IFRS17 will be an advantage
