The group is Kenyan based and operates through a network of Kenyan branches as well as regional subsidiaries in Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Rwanda, South Sudan, DRC and Zimbabwe. The company has a total complement of over 800 highly trained and professional staff spread across the region and seeks to fill the position Field Service Technician - Plumbing and Water Treatment Technologies.

Reporting to the Service Manager, Nairobi Office, the Field Service Technician- Plumbing and Water Treatment Technologies will be responsible for achievement of the following key tasks;

Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plumbing and water treatment systems, including but not limited to water softeners, filtration systems, pumps, pipes, and fixtures.

Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment.

Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently, both onsite and remotely.

Collaborate with customers to identify their needs and provide appropriate solutions, including recommending upgrades or additional services.

Provide technical support and assistance to customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders as needed.

Conduct training for customers in the field and in workshops for the

company’s products and applications.

Track and document installed systems incidents & outages and initiate root cause analysis in liaison with Service Engineer.

Qualifications and Competencies

Holder of Diploma/HND with Credit in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics or closely related field from a recognized institution

Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, water treatment processes, and related equipment, including pumps, valves, filters, and controls.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record, with the ability to travel to customer sites as required.
