Job DescriptionPurpose:This role will work closely with the Data Operations and Data Governances teams supporting the quality assurance oversight (data error detection and correction) on business processes where data is collected, stored, transformed, or used for TCCC reporting.
The Data Quality Analyst will assist the core data team/s in monitoring data integration points and data sharing process/es across various bottler systems, ensuring and monitoring the final quality of our internal data stores and flows. The role will also be involved in data cleansing, data definitions, setting up/Improving standard operating processes, as well as serving in a consultant role to functional teams by providing best practices, improved processes and data interpretation.
Responsibilities:
This will be a support role and will be expected to complete the following activities:-
Data Quality & Issue ManagementAnalysis of data for compliance to design specification (source-to-target) and expected/anticipated behaviors, identifying quality issues and recommending solutions
Actively communicate to internal/external/stakeholders/customers quality issues about the way data is collected, stored, processed, or used
Establish, monitor, and report on breaches to Service Level Agreements of external data assets with the bottler/s and impacts to production performance and tracking
Perform audits, as required, to ensure quality processes exist and are being adhered to.
Communicate the pervasiveness of data quality problems and their potential impacts and take the lead in resolving them via data integration and/or business process improvement.
Investigate, troubleshoot, and document data issues from internal and external customers
Resolving data integrity issues with bottlers and business stakeholders.
Analyze data for quality and reconciling data issues.
Initiate in-depth analysis/ root cause analysis of bottler data quality issues and present trends business.
Identify opportunities to mitigate risk and structurally address root causes of problems
Evaluate existing process, tools, and reports for areas of improvement
Develop tools and reports
that enable scalable and repeatable delivery of DQ analyses
Evaluate the data model for areas of risk and implement cross-team solutions
Data Remediation
Support the de-duplication and re-qualification efforts for key bottler data elements.
Identify opportunities for standardization of data elements and related definitions. Collaborate with business users to apply necessary changes.
Develop an intimate familiarity with bottler data and support functional teams on best practices for product classification, customer segmentation, and other master data methodologies.
Investigate questions or issues related to master data elements and provide resolution in a timely fashion.
Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant tertiary qualification (i.e. B Com informatics, Computer Science etc.)
Detail Oriented - Strong analytical skills/problem-solving/conceptual thinking. Must be able to identify, analyze and address problems to resolve issues whenever possible in a way that minimizes negative impact and risk to the organization.
Strong verbal and written communication-Ability to work with Technical and Non-Technical business owners
Must have strong data management and governance experience (5+ years)
Must have strong experience and advanced understanding of the collection and management of metadata (as it relates to the governance of data and data quality) (5+ years)
Advanced Microsoft Excel (PowerPivot, Macros, Excel Formulae)
Power BI and SQL experience
Exposure to Microsoft Azure applications
CDMP advantageous
