Purpose:

Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Consumer Internal Account Managers, overseeing the External Account Manager activity in a supporting role and executing the product and sales planning into managed accounts.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Matric certificate with exemption (essential)

  • Marketing or commerce degree or diploma (Preferred)

  • 5-7 Years Sales Experience in the IT Industry (Essential), in IT Distribution (preferred)

  • Minimum 5 Years Sales Experience Selling Consumer IT Products to Large Format

  • Retailers, Online Channels, Telecoms & Channel Partners

  • Successful Account Management experience and technical sales experience (Essential)

  • Proven Vendor Relationships within the Hardware & Peripheral Segments Required

  • High Level Understanding of Sage ERP

  • Knowledge of the retailer, online, Telecoms and general channel required

  • Understanding of pricing and support models

  • Understanding of financial terminology and relating to costing and support models

  • Good understanding of ROE and the impact it has converting to local trading currencies.

  • Good understanding of vendors and their support, sell in and sell out programs

  • MS Office Suite (Intermediate - Essential)

  • After sales warranty management experience

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Monthly and Quarterly Revenue and GP Team Targets

  • Enable Company Consumer Team to grow Vendor Revenue and Product

  • Range in existing Client Base

  • End to End Stock Management for Consumer/Retail Partners with the Business Internal BU Teams and directly with the relevant Vendor

  • Manage and actively apply planning principles relating to Competitive Analysis

    Oversee the entire Sales Process:

  • Vendor Engagement with Business BU Teams

  • Customer Engagement with Business Consumer Account

  • Managers

  • Order Planning

  • Sales Execution Management

  • Support Negotiations with the Company Product BU Teams

  • Plan Quarterly Business Unit and Quarterly Business Reviews Updates with Managed Partners

  • Manage Vendor Support into the Consumer Product Range

    Manage the After Sales Process with Managed Accounts and 3rd Party Service Providers:

  • Ensure RMA Data is updated and Actioned

  • Monitor the Returns Process with the Internal Team

  • Manage the Communication to Partners to ensure
    Updates and Documentation is shared in a timely manner

  • Weekly meeting with key partners with set agenda to achieve goals and strategy

  • Use best practices for opportunity management, account planning and forecasting (partners)

  • Working with partners to devise growth strategies and implementing these strategies

    Responsible for Total Sales Number for Product Ranges:

  • Internal Target Alignment with Product BU’s

  • Weekly Pipeline Management & Forecasting

  • Deliver an accurate weekly Revenue, GP, and Profit after

  • Rebate Forecast

  • Identify areas of concern to remedy the internal sales Plan

  • Monitor Daily Transactions based on expected daily Turn-over

  • Helping and co-selling with the sales team in the consumer channels

  • Assisting the sales team develop sales and account plans

  • KPA Recommendations and Joint Management to optimize the Consumer Team Performance

    Consumer Stock File Management:

  • Forecast Management

  • Inbound Management and Alignment with Pre Orders

  • Forex Management – Securing Forward Cover to align with Agreed Pricing

  • Report on Ageing and Ageing Analysis

  • Vendor Engagement and Relationship Building

  • Defining and developing partners focus by strategically, aligning each partner to the objectives set out by the Vendor

  • Achieving Vendor Targets

  • New Business Development

    Comprehensive Understanding of Order Planning by Business Unit:

  • Order Lead Times

  • Stock Arrival Planning

  • Backorder Fulfilment

  • Bottom-Up Forecasting

  • Understanding and Applying Contractual Agreements into relevant Accounts from Conformity to Costing in according with Agreed Rebate Values
