Given the continued growth and future expansion of Dashen Breweries, the following opportunity exist.

Job summary

We are seeking a highly skilled, experience CFO to join our growing company. In this position, the successful candidate will oversee any and all fiscal activity including financial and accounting activities, budgeting, and forecasting portfolio performance.

You will work to plan and forecast the overall financial vision for the company to ensure productive financial operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develops finance strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction

Establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives

Develops organization prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities; projecting acquisition and expansion prospects; analyzing organization operations; identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement; accumulating capital to fund expansion.

Establishes finance operational strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change.

Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.

Reports financial status by developing forecasts; reporting results; analyzing variances; developing improvements.

Ensuring adequate controls are installed

and that substantiating documentation is approved and available such that all purchases may pass independent and governmental audits

Overseeing the coordination and activities of independent audits ensuring all audit issues are resolved, and all compliance issues are met, and the preparation of the annual financial statements is in accordance with IFRS and Ethiopian standards

Monitoring banking activities of the organization

Ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organsations’ needs

Overseeing business insurance plans

Chief Executive Officer

Location

Addis Ababa with frequent travel to Plants

Job Requirements

Required qualification and experience

MA in Accounting and Finance and/or License in ACCA, CA, CIMA or CPA required

At least ten years work experience in the area out which four years being at a senior management level preferably at FMCG and it would be more beneficial to have worked in the brewing industry

Knowledge of tax law regulation

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Exceptional time management and ability to problem solve under pressure

Strong oral and written communication skills

Good understanding of Syspro accounting software

Fully understand IFRS and have prepared annual Financial statements based on IFRS

Have experience in Treasury management

Involved in Excise negotiations with government

Prepared Board and Audit Committee reports
