DanChurchAid (DCA) is looking for a strategic and operationally experienced Programme Manager to head our Humanitarian Mine Action programme in South Sudan in our efforts to secure a safer environment for the population in one of the most deprived and war-affected countries in the world.
You will lead the South Sudan HMA programme under the coordination of the Country Director and assume responsibility for all activities and elements of the HMA programme, including resource mobilisation, communication, finance, administration and logistics support and management of the 5 international and more than 30 national staff. To do this, you must be highly competent, and demonstrate strategic vision and diplomatic conduite.

We are
looking for:
A minimum of seven-years previous experience with Humanitarian Mine Action and/or Humanitarian Programming in highly insecure environments;
A minimum of five-years proven experience in results based management and leadership;
A person who is confident in the role as manager, innovative, a good motivator and you work with a hands-on approach;
An outgoing, results-oriented and proactive person, who is accountable and has integrity, and who will ensure that quality systems are developed and applied with particular reference to donor commitments and CHS benchmarks;
A person who at all times maintain a clear overview of budget, spending, and pledged and potential funding;
A person who can build relationsships with humanitarian partners and donors to secure the funding required to reach targets defined in the programme strategy;
A relevant and strong skill-set for ensuring compliance and conformity with humanitarian principles, relevant DCA policies, guidelines, standard operating procedures and toolkits;
Strong networking and excellent communication skills;
Extensive knowledge of working with grant management incl. proven proposal and report writing skills and experience in qualitative documentation of results/outcomes;
Entrepreneurial drive and commitment to getting the job done;
You are flexible and able to adapt to a multi-cultural environment;
Fluency in written and spoken English;
Previous experience with progamming and management in a highly volatile political and security context.
