DAI Programme Delivery Manager Jobs in Kenya

To manage the programme work planning, resourcing process and reporting in support of the team leader’s strategic direction. To manage key stakeholder relationships at Somali Government levels across the peninsular and maintain communications with private sector partnerships as directed by the team leader.

Oversee the organisation of events, managing the engagement of short term consultants where necessary.

Responsibilities

Managing workplan with strategic inputs from team leader.

Oversee sector leads to monitor task completion and to ensure teams maximise their productivity and coherence of activity.

Collating feedback from team on ongoing basis to monitor and report to team leader on progress through workplan and results tracker.

Overseeing programme resourcing, in particular the identification of the requirement for surge capacity and support recruitment of individuals.

Managing key relationships with government stakeholders in dairy/livestock, fisheries and Sesame as well as private sector partnerships as delegated by the team leader.

Overseeing organisation of key events such as investment forums, programme governance meetings and training events. Manage associated stakeholder relationships.

Deputise for team leader as required.

Location of Work

The Program Delivery Manager will be predominantly

based in Nairobi, Kenya with regular travel to Somalia.

Line of reporting

The Program Delivery Manager will report to the Team Leader.

Required Qualifications:

Advanced Degree in relevant field

10 years of relevant experience in development sector or related

Programme management roles on major donor programmes

Understanding of Somali context and ideally familiarity with government stakeholders

Somali speaker highly desirable
