Job Description Lead and coordinate the budgeting and forecasting processes and monitor performance throughout the year against plans
Champion the strategic planning process of the business
Developing, Implementing and managing financial systems, policies, processes and procedures across the business
Controlling and forecasting financial income and expenditure
Preparing reports, budgets, and financial statements
Preparing reports for grants, client and supplier accounts
Prepare VAT, WHT, PAYE and NAPSA and all other statutory remittances
Identify specific areas for cost improvement and ensure the development and implementation of action plans to achieve these gains.
Review AP Age analysis twice a week to ensure that all vendors’ invoices above 60 days have been paid off and review and track all older invoices
Preparing Financial Statements at the end of each accounting period in line with prevailing IFRS • Monitor debt management
Manage payments to ensure that Vendors are not upset and cash- flows are not constrained
Manage performance of the finance and administration team and ensure regular appraisals and feedback sessions
Candidate Specification
Experience 5 years
Education Level Degree
Qualifications
Fully qualified CIMA BSc/BA in accounting, finance or similar field is an added advantage
• Member of ZICA
Software
Microsoft Package, and any other accounting package relevant for the position
Equipment Computer
Knowledge Of
Basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices
Skills To
Proficiency in accounting packages such as Sage, Pastel and MS Office
Ability To
Communicate and present effectively
Other Requirements
Proven experience (5 years or more) as Financial Accountant or Management Accountant or similar role
