A leading Cultural and Conference Centre is looking to recruit a dynamic, innovative and highly motivated person for the following position.
Marketing and Corporate Communication ManagerReporting to the General Manager, the Marketing and Corporate Communication Manager will be responsible for the following:
Developing and implementing marketing plans and strategies; attending to customer feedback and take continuous improvement action; carry out market surveys and make recommendations
To improve service delivery; opening new local and international marketing opportunities in conjunction with Ministry and other stakeholders; liaising with relevant agencies
To be informed of new opportunities with aim of tapping exhibitions opportunities within and outside the country;
preparing timely and accurate marketing reports for decision making;
ensuring efficient and continuous marketing, prepare advertising materials, developing communication strategies and oversee general protocol at the Institution;
coordinate the organization of public events;
advise on media issues and act as a link between the media key stakeholders;
brand and visibility within and without the Institution;
arrange for media coverage of all Institution’s events;
prepare and place radio and TV commercials;
coordinate and prepare official speeches;
coordinate and prepare the Institution’s newsletter and materials;
Requirements for Appointment
(i) Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines:- B.Com-Marketing, BA-Marketing, Mass Communication, Communication
Studies, Public Relations, Journalism or any relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
(ii) Masters in any of the following disciplines: – Marketing, Mass Communication, communication Studies, Public Relations, Journalism or any relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
(iii) Certificate in Senior Leadership Development Program lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution;
(iv) At least 10 years’ experience at management level in a busy establishment;
(v) Excellent oral and written communication skills;
(vi) Demonstrated professional competence and administrative ability in work performance and results;
Certificate in computer application from a recognized institution and Team player.
