The ideal individual will have the following skills and accountabilities;

• Hold a Mine Engineering Degree and have completed your time underground

• Around 5 years’ experience – majority (or all) being Underground

• Responsible for Short term & Long Term Planning and well as development design

• Ensure the proficiency of the production and development processes used on site to continuously meet/exceed set targets

• Consult and mentor juniors on site & assist will the upskilling of national employees

• Aim to use previous experiences and knowledge for cost reduction initiatives

• Oversee aspects of Production then report on performance, optimization and other metrics

• QA/QC

• Abide by, ensure and push all safety initiatives on site.

• Showing good knowledge of UG mining methods like caving and stoping will be highly regarded

• Have a natural ability to lead by example, as well as motivate and engage those around you

• Show proficient computer and software skills e.g. Surpac etc.

• A Mining Engineer open to sharing ideas and processes for the betterment of the site
