Our client is looking for an experienced Social Media Marketer to join their team. This is a full-time on-site role. The Social Media Marketer will be responsible for creating, managing, and publishing content on various social media platforms to increase brand awareness, drive traffic, and engage with customers. He/she will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute social media campaigns, analyze user engagement data, and optimize social media strategies to improve performance and achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

Creating content, including text posts, video and images for use on social media

Promoting products, services and content over social media, in a way that is consistent with an organisation's brand and social media strategy.

Scheduling social media posts using applications such as Hootsuite and TweetDeck

Interacting with customers and dealing with customers' enquiries

Developing new social media strategies and campaigns

Managing a budget to be spent on promoting social media posts and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising.

Keeping track of data and analysing the performance of social media campaigns

Collaborating with colleagues from across marketing departments to ensure branding is consistent.

Meeting with clients and other stakeholders (such as social media influencers). These meetings may involve pitching potential marketing campaigns.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in

Marketing, Communications, or a related field

Proven work experience as a social media marketer, Social Media Specialist, or similar role

Solid knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) and social media marketing tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer, etc.)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swahili

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute social media campaigns and strategies.

Understanding of SEO, web traffic metrics, and social media metrics

Experience with graphic design and video editing tools is a plus.

Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments.

Creative and passionate about social media.

Strong analytical, and interpersonal skills

Excellent presentation skills

Keen on achieving independent results.
