DescriptionOur client is a well established credit only micro-finance institution with over 30 branches countrywide, providing financial services to rural smallholder farmers and micro entrepreneurs.
They wish to recruit a Chief Business Officer.
Main Purpose of the Position
Reporting to the CEO, our client is looking for a candidate with strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, strategy, analytical and entrepreneurial skills, passionate about growing and transforming both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities
Designing and Leading in the implementation of the business growth strategy aligned to the corporate strategy and business objective.
Formulating and ensuring implementation of business growth policies and procedures aligned to the overall business strategy.
To ensure business growth and sustainability through marketing initiatives, product development, customer service and strategic partnerships.
Developing and driving the business growth targets and managing overall performance to achieve business goals.
Overseeing and advising on online marketing strategies including approving the planned initiatives.
Leading and managing operational excellence through adherence to operating policies, managed risk, bench-marking against industry standards, customer satisfaction and implementation of audit recommendations.
Leading and designing risk management initiatives to mitigate credit, operation and reputation risks for improved and sustained business performance and corporate image.
Leading in the preparation, analysis & management of business reports and presentation for business decision making by the various stakeholders.
Preparing, monitoring and reporting of the departmental budgetary
Responsible for talent management in the department including coaching, mentoring, developing, motivating, training and evaluating staff to achieve highest levels of performance
Leading and managing the organization’s communication to the department.
Identifying & recommending best practices for innovation
to ensure new & improved processes, products and services.
Implementing service quality, customer excellence and change initiatives to achieve required business performance and culture.
