County Public Service Board of Nyandarua Principal Economist Principal Requirements for Appointment


For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

  • Experience of at least eight (8) years as an Economist/ Statistician;

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Economic Development, Economic Planning, Statistics or any other relevant qualification from a recognized Institution;

  • A minimum of an Upper Second Class Honors Degree in Statistics with appropriate specialization from a recognized Institution;

  • A Master’s degree in Economics, Economic Development, Economic Planning, Statistics, MBA or any other relevant qualification from a
    recognized Institution; and

  • Certificate in computer applications

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate county economic policy formulation;

  • Review and follow-up county economic policy implementation;

  • Coordinate the development of sector plans;

  • Appraising the county projects;

  • Oversee the project expenditure management;

  • Analyzing projects and programmes; and
