Vihiga County Public Service Board is a Body corporate established under section 57 of the County Government Act 2012 pursuant to Article 235 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010. Section 59 of the County Government Act 2012 outlines the functions of the Board.

Pursuant to Constitution and Legal provisions Vihiga County Public Service Board invites applications from qualified persons for the following position:

Director of Water Services

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and take responsibility of all work related to water and sanitation within the
    county.
  • Coordinate different units of water and sanitation section in the county.
  • Prepare report relating to the water acts and sanitation sector in the county.
  • Prepare, Implement, Monitor and Evaluate water programs in the county.
  • Implement water and sanitation policy in the county.

    Requirement for Appointment

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil, Engineering or any other relevant field from a recognized
    university.
  • Masters degree in relevant field is an added advantage.
  • Registered with relevant and recognized professional body.
  • Computer literate in relevant computer aided design knowledge skills.
