Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate preparation of statutory financial reports for the county
    Requisition for funds on behalf of the county
  • To prepare expenditure returns and submit them to the controller of budget’s office as and when required
  • To be in charge of employee capacity building in matters related to Integrated Financial Management System (IFMIS)
  • To ensure smooth running of the county treasury
  • Assist the county in developing capacity for efficient, effective and transparent financial management

    Qualifications

  • Should hold a Bachelor of Commerce Accounting or Finance Option from a recognized University.
  • Should have Oracle certifications in at least two financial modules.
  • A Master’s degree in Finance will be an added advantage
  • Should have knowledge and experience in public service/devolved system of governance
  • Should have experience in Integrated Financial Management Information System(IFMIS)
  • Should be an Oracle Certified Implementation
  • Specialist and demonstrate prior experience in an implementation/support project

    Responsibilities

  • Coordinating Revenue Services in the County
    determining and proposing best practices, methods and strategies of improving the revenue function;
  • Initiating and developing revenue collection improvement policies; and performance improvement strategies that are adaptive to the changing business environment and technology
  • Ensuring the all Revenue arms and stakeholders adhere to laid down policies and procedure of revenue management/Ensure total compliance as laid down in Public Financial Management Procedure and standards
  • Analyzing and interpreting the County By laws that govern and regulate revenue generation activities in the county, rules and regulations;
  • Ensuring high professional revenue management standard are adhered to at all times
  • Organize timely audit of revenue collections and institute best revenue standards
  • Advising the county Government on Revenue collection matters, and
  • Interpreting of other laws and statutes that relates to Revenue management in the County

    Qualifications

  • Served in the grade, of Assistant Director/Revenue services or in a comparable and relevant position 'in the Public Service for a minimum period of three (3) years;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following:- Commerce/Accounting Business Administration, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Marketing' or their equivalent qualification &from a recognized institution;
  • A Master’s Degree in 'any of the following:- Business Administration, Commerce,
  • Entrepreneurship or any other relevant field from a recognized institution
  • Holder of Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA K)
  • Demonstrates merit in performance of duties

    Qualifications

  • Served for a cumulative period of not less than nine (9) years in cooperative development three of which must be grade of Principal
  • Cooperative Officer
    Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Commerce, Business Administration/Management, Agriculture Economics, Economics, Statistics, Sociology, Cooperative Management, Marketing Management,
  • Entrepreneurship, Management & Organizational Development from a recognized University in Kenya
    Diploma in any of the following disciplines:
  • Cooperative management, Cooperative Auditing, Marketing, Internal Auditing of Finance from a recognized institution
  • Certified Public Secretary Part III (CPS K) or Certified Public Accountant Part III (CPA K)
  • Demonstrate administrative ability and professional Competence
