County Government of Nyeri Orthopedic Trauma Technician Jobs in Kenya






a) Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level entails:

  • Interpreting radiological images of orthopedic and trauma cases; coaching;

  • Carrying out minor Orthopedic Operative techniques involving insertion
    and removal of Steinman’s pins and skull calipers;

  • Removing external fixators;

  • manipulating and reducing fractures and dislocations;

  • fixing and removing casts, bandages, and tractions to and from patients;
    correcting Congenital Orthopedic Talipes Equino-Varus( C.T.E.V.):

  • participating in the management of minor orthopedic trauma cases in
    emergencies and accidents:

  • Sensitizing and creating awareness of orthopedic trauma conditions in
    communities and counseling patients/ clients with orthopedic trauma
    needs.

    b) Requirements for Appointments

  • For Appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

  • Be a Kenyan Citizen (Attach ID)

  • KCPE and KCSE Certificate

  • Certificate in either Orthopedic Plaster and Traction Technology

  • Orthopedic Plaster Technology from a recognized institution;

  • Be registered with the Kenya Society of Orthopedics Trauma

  • Technologist/Technician

  • Two years and above experience working in a busy hospital (Attach
    evidence)
