County Government of Nyeri Mortuary Attendant/Mortician Jobs in Kenya






(a) Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will include;

  • Collecting and receiving bodies within the hospital and outside through the
    prescribed procedures.

  • Recording bodies received.

  • Washing the bodies, embalming, and refrigeration.

  • Scrubbing and assisting in post mortems.

  • Counselling the relatives.

  • Releasing the bodies to the relatives as per the laid procedures.

    (b) Requirements for Appointment

  • For Appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

  • Be a Kenyan Citizen (Attach ID)

  • KCPE and KCSE Certificate

  • At least three (3) years of relevant work experience in a busy mortuary or a
    reputable Funeral Home (Attach evidence).

  • Certificate in Mortuary Science from a recognized institution
    Training in embalming and grief counselling will be an added advantage
