County Government of Nyandarua County Executive Committee Member - Health Services Jobs Kenya

Pursuant to the provisions of the Constitution of Kenya under Article 176 and the County Government Act No. 17 of 2012 Sections 35, 36 and 45, the Office of the Governor wishes to consider applications from highly qualified, results oriented and self motivated Kenyan Citizens for appointment to the following vacant positions:

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities are as prescribed in The Constitution of Kenya, 2010 Article 183 and the County Government Act, No 17 of 2012 Section 36. In general, the office holder will:

Supervise the administration and delivery of services in the Department of Health Services;

Implement County Legislation;

Implement within the County, National Legislation to the extent that the legislation so requires;

Manage and coordinate the functions of the Department of Health Services;

Provide the County Assembly with full and regular reports on matters relating to the Department;

Advise H.E the Governor on matters within the Department;

Participate in the implementation of the County Integrated Development Plan II (CIDP II); and

Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Constitution, National and County Legislation or H.E the Governor;

Minimum Requirements are:

Be a Kenyan Citizen;

Be in possession of a first degree from a University recognized in Kenya;

Possession of a Masters Degree will be an added advantage;

Have knowledge, experience and distinguished career of not less than five years relevant to the portfolio of the Department of Health Services;

Shall not hold any other State or Public office;

Demonstrates a thorough understanding and commitment to the National Values and Principles as outlined in Article 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010;

Understand the diversity, challenges and opportunities within Nyandarua County;

Letter of Good Standing if registered with a professional body;

Proficiency in Computer Applications;

Be conversant with the Constitution of Kenya and relevant

Devolution laws;

Have the capacity to work diligently and meet strict deadlines; and

Be committed to be part of a team that will enable the County Government achieve its vision.

Fulfils expectations of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya on Leadership and Integrity.

Clearance Certificate from the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission;

Certificate of Good Conduct Directorate of Criminal Investigation);

Tax Clearance Certificate from KRA;

Credit Reference Bureau Certificate; and

Clearance Certificate from HELB.
