1. Nairobi County Chief Resilience Officer Jobs in Kenya

The County Government Of Nairobi is currently looking to fill the position of a Chief Resilience Officer.

Responsibilities for the Job

Establish linkage between the Rockefeller Foundation and Stakeholders in the County;

Develop innovative 100 resilient Cities initiative and promote Public Private Partnership in the implementation of financial and non-financial components of the resilience strategy;

Lead, develop and implement the County’s Resilience

Strategy and supporting programs to provide an effective and efficient response to County’s resilience challenges;

Develop a holistic resilience strategy that will establish long term goals and strengthen collaboration and communication with National/Regional Government Agencies, Civil Society and Businesses

Expected Output

Integrate the existing local plans towards development of the Resilient Strategy within the stipulated guidelines as proposed by 100 Resilient Cities.

Preparation of detailed assessments, indicators and development of modules to monitor progress of the Resilience Strategy and give feedback to H. E. the Governor.

Preparation of Reports, up-dates and way forward on resilience planning to stakeholders.

Ensure that the Resilience Strategy is in line with relevant and identified stresses and shocks applicable to the city.

Identify Change Management opportunities for the City and creation of new Policies to aid in cost reduction and eradication of inefficient practice.

Maintain a Public Private Partnership Unit as established under Section 8 of the Pubic Private Partnership (PPP) Act, 2013 towards achievement of the Resilience Strategy.

Guide the Executive on policy formulation in relation to Resilience Strategy in the following (Climate Change, Environmental Impact, Housing and Economic Development).

Qualifications for the Job

Have at least 10 years’ experience in management preferably in Public Service;

Have Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Public Administration and Management, Urban Planning or Architecture, Project Planning and Management, or related field from a recognized institution;

Have Masters degree in a relevant field from recognized institution;

Have experience in International Relations and wide knowledge in Project Planning and Management;

Have knowledge of systems with a County, preferably of the County of Nairobi; and

Have experience in creating and maintaining large networks (Local, National and International) and proven negotiation skill.

NB: Knowledge in Planning, Engineering and Architecture will be an added advantage

2. Nairobi County Senior Information Systems Auditor Jobs in Kenya

The County Government of Nairobi is looking to fill the position of a Senior Systems Information Auditor.

Remuneration

Vacancies: 2 Posts

Salary Scale: Kshs 41,590.00 to Kshs 55,840.00

House Allowance: Kshs 28,000.00

Commuter Allowance: Kshs 8,000.00

Responsibilities for the Job

Perform general application

control reviews to computer information systems that include and not limited to

System Development, Operating Procedures, System Security, Programming Controls, Communication Controls and Disaster Recovery;

Perform reviews of internal control procedures and security and maintain computerized audit software to support computerized audit and report preparation;

Provide operational support(including training) in relation to computerized information system to System Administrators, Staff And Enforcement Officials and many be required to testify in Court;

Implement audit findings and corrective action as recommended by Management;

Evaluate and review a range of PC ,related products and computer systems

Conduct control reviews on System Development and Operation, Programming, Security Procedures and Standards;

Implementation of accounting principles that include and not limited to National and County Public Auditing Policies, Standards and Procedures).

Qualifications for the Job

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management Information System or Business Management and IT with 3 to 5 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified;

Must be a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA);

Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Account (CPA);

Those with CPA(K) will have an added advantage.

Remuneration

Salary Scale: Kshs 31,020.00 to Kshs 41,590.00

House Allowance: Kshs 16,500.00

Commuter Allowance: Kshs 5,000.00

Responsibilities

Conducts system audit aimed at strengthening internal controls in a computerized environment;

Prepare and present written audit reports on systems audit;

Review the internal control procedures and security for all the systems in all the sectors within the county;

Maintain computerized audit software;

Conduct operational and investigative audits.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management Information System or Business Management and IT with 2 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified;

Must be a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA);

Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA);

Those with CPA(K) will have an added advantage
