County Government of Machakos Accountant II Jobs in Kenya

Assembly Service Board of Machakos invites applications from suitably Kenyan citizens to fill the following vacant positions.

Accountant II

Duties and Responsibilities

Processing payments in the IFMIS system.

Preparing and compiling financial reports:

Application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAPs) including the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) techniques in accounting for County Assembly's finances, assets, revenue, expenditure and costs

Carrying out bank reconciliation

Such other relevant duties as may be assigned by the County Assembly Service Board

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have a minimum of the following

Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines; Commerce (Accounting Option), Economics, Business Administration/Management or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

Certified Public Accounts Part II

Proficiency in computer application skills, and

Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
