County Government of Machakos Accountant I Jobs in Kenya

Assembly Service Board of Machakos invites applications from suitably Kenyan citizens to fill the following vacant positions.

  • Accountant I

    Duties and Responsibilities
  • Processing payments in the IFMIS system.
  • Monitoring expenditures based on approved budgets.
  • Applying sound principles, systems and techniques in accounting for finances, assets, revenue, expenditure and costs.
  • Accounting for special funds, programmers and projects funds.
  • Preparation and verification of financial reports.
  • Carrying out bank reconciliations.
  • Such other relevant duties as may be assigned by the County Assembly Service Board

    Job Education Requirements:

    Requirements for Appointment For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have a minimum of the following

  • Served in the grade of Accountant ll, or in a comparable position for a minimum period of three (3) years;
  • Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines: Commerce (Accounting Option), Economics, Business Administration/Management or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
  • Certified Public Accounts Part III
  • Registered with Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya(ICPAK)
  • Proficiency in computer application skills
  • Demonstrate merit and ability as reflected in work performance

  • Higher Education Loans Board
  • Kenya Revenue Authority
  • Credit Reference Bureau
