County Government of Kilifi Clinical Officer - Anesthetist Jobs Kenya


The Kilifi County Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill
the following positions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implementing Community Health Care activities in liaison with other workers
  • History taking, examining, diagnosing, treating and managing diseases and
    conditions in an outpatient or inpatient health facility
  • Sensitizing patients and clients on preventive and promotive health
  • Providing clinical outreach and school health services
  • Coaching and mentoring students on attachment
  • Carrying out surgical procedures as per training and skill
  • Guiding and counseling patients clients and staff on health issues
  • Assessing, preparing and presenting medico-legal reports
  • Organizing health management teams and convening health management committee meetings
  • Conducting ward rounds, reviewing and making appropriate referrals.

    Requirements for appointment

  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or Clinical Medicine and Community Health from a recognized institution
  • Higher National Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery (Anesthesia)
  • Certificate of Registration from the clinical Officers Council
  • Certificate in Computer Applications Skills from a recognized institution
  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

    Terms of Service:

  • Permanent

    Salary Scale:

  • 40,410 – 50,810 p.m.

  • Other Allowances are as issued by SRC from time to time.

    For candidates to meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, all
    applicants must obtain the following:

  • Tax compliance certificate from
    KRA
  • Clearance certificate from HELB
  • Clearance certificate from Ethics and Anti- Corruption Commission (EACC)
  • Certificate of good conduct
  • Credit Reference Bureau clearance
  • All applicants MUST use the Application for Employment Form (KCPSB 001)

    The form can either be;

  • Obtained from the Kilifi County Public Service Board Offices OR
  • Downloaded from the Kilifi County website

    Applicants can choose to;

  • Deliver the form to the Office of the Secretary; County Public Service Board at the Kilifi Complex Centre, Tuskys Building 2nd Floor

    Address it to;-

  • All applications in hard copy stating the post applied for should be received not later than 5.00pm on 22nd October, 2018
