County Government of Kakamega Principal Administrator Jobs in Kenya

Duties and responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will be:

Implementing strategic objectives and performance contract targets;

Drafting briefs, speeches, policy, memoranda, departmental position and concept papers;

Implementing County Government decisions, directives and policies;

Collaborating with state and County corporations and statutory bodies on policy issues;

Coordinating preparation of responses on matters raised by the County Assembly;

Managing departmental resources and assets and developing of departmental work plans;

Initiating and managing development projects and programmes;

Coordinating disaster management and emergency response activities;

Responding to customer care issues; and

Responsible for supervision of staff and their performance.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must:

Have served as a Chief Administrator Job Group ‘CPSB 07’for a minimum period of three (3) years;

Have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science or its equivalent from a recognized institution;

Be competent in computer application skills;

Have excellent communication skills; and

Meet requirements of chapter six of the Constitution on leadership and integrity.
