County Government of Kakamega Deputy Director, Supply Chain Management Jobs in Kenya

Duties and Responsibilities:

An officer at this level may be deployed at the Directorate of Supply Chain Management.

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

Analyzing Supply Chain Management Structures and systems;

Determining and proposing methods and strategies of handling supply chain management function;

Initiating and developing supply chain management policies and performance improvement strategies that are adaptive to changing environment and technology;

Coordinate development of strategic plans for the Directorate of Supply Chain Management;

Oversee implementation of Public Procurement and Disposal Act, 2005 and other statutes, rules, regulations and ensure adherence to the laid down procedures, rules and regulations

Analyze impact of supply chain management policies, rules and regulations;

Ensuring high professional supply chain management standards; and

Advising County Departments and Agencies on Supply Chain matters and interpretation of other laws and statutes that impact on supply chain matters

Requirements For Appointment:

For Appointment to this grade, one must have:-

Served in the Position of Assistant Director, Supply Chain Management, Job Group CPSB05/’P’ for a minimum period of three (3) years in Public Service;

Have knowledge and work experience of not less than ten (10) years, in Supply Chain Management five(5)of which must have been at Senior Management level in a relevant field from private sector;

Have a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following: - Procurement and Supplies Management,

Commerce, Business Administration (Supplies Management Option), Economics, Marketing or their equivalent from a recognized Institution;

Have a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following: - Procurement and Supplies Management, Commerce, Business Administration (Supplies Management Option), Economics, Marketing or their equivalent from a recognized Institution;

Masters degree in in any of the following: - Procurement and Supplies Management, Commerce, Business Administration (Supplies Management Option), Economics, Marketing or their equivalent from a recognized Institution;

Have a Diploma (CIPS) in Supplies Management or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.

Be a member of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) or CIPS.

Strategic leadership Development Programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution or equivalent qualification; and

Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya on Leadership and Integrity
