County Government of Busia Internal Auditor I Jobs in Kenya

Pursuant to Article 235 (1) (b) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and Section 59 (1) (b), of The County Governments Act No.17, 2012, The County Public Service Board of Busia invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill vacant positions in the Department of Finance, Economic Planning and ICT as follows:

  • Internal Auditor I

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Executing audit programmes;

  • Collecting audit evidence on major issues;
    Reviewing internal control systems in operation; verifying the existence and safety of Government assets;
  • Preparation of draft reports and holding discussions with the clients; reviewing budgetary controls on the issuance of authority to incur expenditure and commitments; and
  • Ensuring completeness and accuracy of records and reports.

    Requirement for Appointment
  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) C- (Minus)
  • Must have passed CPA Part III or CIA Part IV or be in possession of a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Accounting/Finance option) with CPA Part II or CIA Part III.
  • Registration by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and Association of Certified
    Fraud Examiners (ACFE)
  • Satisfy the requirement of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 Leadership and Integrity.

    Additional Requirements

    All applicants are expected to attach copies of the following additional documents

  • Tax Compliance Certificate.
  • Clearance from HELB where necessary.
    Clearance from the Ethics and anti-Corruption Commission.
  • Certificate of good conduct from the police.
