County Government of Bomet Value Addition Officer Jobs in Kenya


The County Government of Bomet through the Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions: -

Responsibilities

Reporting to Assistant Director/ Marketing & Value addition, the officer will be responsible for:-

  • Participating in the implementation of value addition strategies and policies.
  • Implementation of value addition systems and structures in the County.
  • Participating in developing annual work plan and budget for the directorate.
  • Ensuring quality assurance for value addition programs and projects.
  • Supporting and guiding stakeholder value addition development initiatives.
  • Cooperating with partners and other providers within the county and beyond to enable access to value chain/addition activities.
  • Capacity build groups and societies to support the development of Value addition component and Support the up -scaling of sustainable post-harvest technologies and off farm processing techniques.
  • Prepare quarterly, semiannual and annual reports.
  • Any other function assigned.

    Requirements

  • Be a holder of bachelor’s degree in Processing Engineering, Food Science Technology, or related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum five (5) years relevant experience.

    Terms of Service:

  • Permanent and Pensionable
