County Government of Bomet Public Health Assistant III Jobs in Kenya

The County Government of Bomet through the Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions: -

Responsibilities

Reporting to the officer in charge, he/she will be responsible for: -

Coordinating a community unit (CU)

Mobilizing, sensitizing and advising communities on matters
related to environmental health;

Organizing community health days to advise communities on common public health issues;

Collection of health-related data at household level for analysis

Identification of common ailments and minor injuries at community level

Identification and referral of health cases to appropriate health facilities

Visiting homes to sensitize the community on health interventions

Monitoring the growth of children under five years of age

Identification of defaulters of health interventions and referring them to appropriate health facility.

Facilitating, training and developing community health volunteers/workers and members of community health committees

Any other duties assigned

Requirements

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

Certificate in Environmental Health Science or Public Health Technology from

a recognized institution; and

Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution

Minimum one (1) year relevant experience

Terms of service:

Permanent and Pensionable
