County Government of Bomet Principal Legal Officer Jobs in Kenya


The County Government of Bomet through the Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions: -

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director Legal Services, he/she will be responsible for:

  • Representing the County Government in courts and arbitral tribunals
  • Instituting civil proceedings on behalf of the County Government and County entities
  • Prosecution of county offences
  • Undertaking legal research
  • Supervision of staff in the litigation unit
  • Performing any such function as shall be assigned by the County Attorney

    Requirements

  • Served in the position of Chief legal officer or in a comparable and relevant position for a minimum of three (3) years
  • A Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from a recognized university.
  • Masters in Law will be an added advantage
  • A Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Studies recognized by the Council of Legal Education.
  • Demonstrated managerial, administrative and professional competence in work performance

    Terms of Service:

  • Permanent and Pensionable
