County Government of Bomet Director/Gender, Culture and Social Services Jobs in Kenya

The County Government of Bomet through the Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions: -

Reporting to the officer in charge he/she will: -

Provide strategic direction on the implementation of the social development function.

Coordinate the formulation, reviewing, development and implementation of the social development policies, plans and
strategies;

Manage any donor funded support for the department and liaising with other institutions and agencies for resource mobilization

Develop and implement of programmes and projects for the welfare of gender, children and the vulnerable in the county.

Facilitate capacity building on mainstreaming disability in public and private sectors;

Promote collaboration and cooperation between individuals, communities and organizations.

Requirements

For appointment to this grade, an officer must: -

Have a Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines; Social Sciences, Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, Anthropology, Counseling and Psychology, Gender Studies, Gender and Development, or equivalent qualification.

Possession of a master degree is an added advantage

Minimum seven (7) years relevant experience

Be fully conversant with the existing national government

policy on social welfare and rehabilitation

Have demonstrated professional and administrative capability in the
general organization and management of the social welfare function and personnel

Membership to a relevant professional body (where applicable)

Terms of Service:

Three (3) Year Contract
