County Government of Bomet Director /Water & Irrigation Jobs in Kenya


The County Government of Bomet through the Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions: -

Responsibilities

Reporting to the chief Officer he/she will: -

  • Enforce rules regulations and policies in the department
  • Be in charge of all technical issues in the Department
  • Authorize all expenditures as AIE holder of the Department
  • Ensure that all surveys, designs, drawings and reports are produced and signed at relevant levels.
  • Liaise with other institutions on the implementation of projects and programs related to water and sanitation within the
    County.
  • Prepare of performance reporting drafts for Water Service Providers and staff working in the Department.
  • Perform Any other duty that may be assigned

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized
    institution
  • Be either registered with the Institute of Engineers of Kenya as corporate member or eligible for registration;
  • Be either registered by the Engineers Board of Kenya or in process of registration;
  • Have demonstrated professional competence and administrative ability required at this level;
  • Have wide
    experience at senior management level in managing and implementing Water development programs;
  • Minimum seven (7) years relevant experience.
  • Possession of a Masters degree in a relevant area will be an added advantage.

    Terms of Service:

  • Three (3) Year Contract
