County Government of Bomet Director / Lands, Housing and Urban Planning Jobs in Kenya

The County Government of Bomet through the Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions: -

Reporting to the officer in charge he/she will: -

Provide overall policy direction of the Department

Coordinate all the activities of the Department

Oversee and coordinate the implementation of work plans strategies and program plans

Coordinate and Organize stakeholder’s forums to identify needs, monitor and evaluate implementation

Coordinate preparation of detailed departmental Land use reports

Coordinate research and mapping of Land use patterns

Coordinate drawing of strict guidelines and regulation on building structures

Oversee operations of the department

Undertake accounting responsibilities of the department

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in either Land Economics, Land Surveying Urban/ Regional Planning or equivalent from a recognized university /institution

Master’s degree in either Land Economics, Land Surveying Urban/ Regional Planning or equivalent from a recognized university /institution

Minimum seven (7) years relevant experience

Computer literate/Proficiency

Good Interpersonal skills

Self-motivated and able to work under pressure

Registered and Licensed by professional body (optional)

Full member of Institution of Surveyors of Kenya/Kenya Institute of Planners

Terms of Service:

Three (3) Year Contract
