The Council of Legal Education herein referred as ‘Council’ is established by the Legal Education Act, No. 27 of 2012 Laws of Kenya. The core functions of the Council of Legal Education are to regulate legal education and training, license and supervise legal education providers; conduct the ATP Examination and to advice the Government on matters relating to legal education and training.
In order to deliver its mandate, Council wishes to competitively recruit full time high caliber officers to the following positions to be based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Overal purpose of the job:
The job holder is responsible for supporting adoption and implementation of effective strategies for planning, quality assurance, performance management, risk management, compliance as weil as ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Job Specifications
The duties will entailay Participating in development and review of Council internal policies, regulations, guidelines;
Participating in aligning Council strategies with national and county policies Plans and
strategies;
Undertaking research as per organization strategic plan and performance contract as per
departmental work plan;
Participating in development and review of the Council’s Strategic Plan;
Participating in monitoring implementation of the Council’s Strategic Plan;
Participating in carrying out corporate monitoring and evaluation;
Developing monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual organisational performance report to the Director;
Participating in development of Council’s Master-plan;
Preparing, imptementation, monitoring and evaluation af
the Council's work plans and Performance Contract (PC).
Assisting in developing of M&E tools; and
Participating in developing a framework for-stakeholders’ collaborations.
Assist in updating and enhancement of Strategic Plan initiatives and Government priorities in line with MTEG guidelines; ,
Persons Specifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Public Policy; Statistic, Mathematics, Strategic Management, Public Administratian, Project planning and Management or- related disciplines;
At least four (4) years relevant work experience in Public Service or Private Sector;
Supervisory Course lasting not less than two (2) weeks;
Proficiency in computer applications;
Demonstrated results in work performance; and
Fulfill the requirernents of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
