Purpose of the Job:

The Sonographer will primarily be responsible for providing quality ultrasound services to our clients, reviewing and analyzing reports and producing the same for physician review.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Performing all ultrasound procedures including bedside sonography to our patients.

Take responsibility for keeping the department in general and specifically the work area, clean, tidy and safe.

Patient preparation before ultrasound procedure.

Generate and archive images and accurate patient reports as required

Taking part in routine inspection of equipment and quality assurance procedures, reporting any deficiencies or malfunction to the appropriate manager.

Ensuring effective and economic use of resources.

Safeguarding hospital equipment and patient’s property from damage, wastage or loss.

Safeguarding all confidential information concerning patients and their treatment.

Keeping up-to-date with current techniques and developments in sonography.

Minimum Qualifications:

Higher Diploma in Ultrasound

Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences

At least two (2) years working experience in a busy facility

Registered and with a valid license from Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority

Member of the Society of Radiography in Kenya (SORK)

Proficient in computer applications with good communication & Interpersonal skills
