Corporate Staffing Finance Manager Jobs in Kenya



Our client is seeking to hire a finance manager who will forecast the company’s financial standing based on financial and operational data and reports provided by the finance and accounting team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of the Finance function under his/her responsibility and ensure that business goals are met as per the Company’s overall strategic planning.

  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and submission of management accounts and statutory financial statements with full cooperation with head office.

  • Production of all relevant reporting as required by regulatory authorities (including Central Banks if applicable) and senior management (head office).

  • Ensure that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained at all times.

  • Preparation and management of the budgeting process as well as of the re-forecasting and other planning processes with full coordination with the head office.

  • Ensure the legal requirements for TAX and VAT are met.

  • Maintain relations and cooperate with external associates such as auditors, banks, etc.

  • Liaise and collaborate with other departmental Heads as required.

  • Assist with high-level decisions about policy and strategy.

  • Help with recruiting new staff members as and when necessary.

  • Ensure legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations on a timely basis.

  • Identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the company.

  • Review financial reports for ways to reduce costs.

  • Close coordination with head office on all decisions to be taken.

  • Any further responsibilities/duties that your direct supervisor may assign to you during your
    employment.

    Qualifications:

  • BA/BSc University Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any other related subject.

  • ACCA, ACA, FCA, or any other professional qualifications (i.e., ICPAK).

  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years experience in Accounting, Audit, Banking, or any other related areas of which a minimum of 2 to 3 years in financial industries will be considered as a strong advantage.

  • Additional diplomas and/or certificates in the accounting, audit, financial statements, and financial markets fields.

  • Strong fluency with Excel formulas and function Proficiency.

  • Knowledge of the principles of accounting, cash and debt management, treasury trading, and continuous improvement in a corporate setting.

  • Knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IASs) and International Financial Reporting
    Standards (IFRS) and updates in reporting.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to prioritize various projects and tasks.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.

  • Previous experience with relevant SAP accounting software will be considered as an advantage.
