Jocham Hospital is looking to hire competent Biomedical Engineer for its new upcoming facility,

Responsibilities

Conduct routine maintenance in line with manufacturers’ recommendations and prepare the related compliance and calibration reports.

Diagnose problems when machinery breaks down, decide the best repair methods and ensure repairs are carried out in a timely manner

Service and replace faulty biomedical equipment

Ensure timely response to the job requests from the various departments

Recommend outsourcing of works that are beyond the scope of internal resources and supervise outsourced contractors on site

Requisition and ensure adequate stocks of supplies and equipment in the stores

Prepare the biomedical budget and monitor its implementation upon approval

Maintain up to date records of maintenance costs, incidents and procedures

Ensure adherence to the PPM schedule and health and safety standards

Hold daily and weekly operational meetings.

Prepare Biomedical Reports monthly

Train other staff on how to maintain and use machinery.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Minimum of a Diploma in Biomedical Engineering Technology with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a hospital setup.

Experience with internal audits, Safecare Inspections or ISO inspections or JCIA inspections will be an added advantage.

Registration with a professional body will be an added advantage
