Job Purpose To Plan, Direct and Co-ordinate development of Information and Communication Technology Systems of the university. .
Statement of Main Duties
Oversee development of procedures and processes of ICTs.
Develop Information Systems in line with current Technology advances.
Maintain appropriate ICT equipment in functional state at all times.
Provide ICT services to University users in line with the ICT policies of the University as stipulated in the ICT master plan.
Create appropriate computer related technologies for teaching and research purposes
Serve as technical expert for the university for purchasing ICT equipment and systems
Job Qualifications & Experience
Grade 12 or Form V certificate with five (5) “O” level Credits which should include English
Minimum of a Masters Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
A PhD in Computer Science or Information Technology will be an added advantage
Minimum five years working experience in a similar position.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required
Result oriented person, able to set and achieve set targets
Ability to inspire others to obtain intended results
Good interpersonal skills and an excellent team player
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism
Ability to work with staff from different professional ranks, academic disciplines and students
