Job PurposeTo provide strategic leadership for developments in teaching, learning and quality assurance policies and practices of the University. .
Statement of Main Duties
• Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Centre by developing strategies and professional development activities for staff to be more efficient
• Coordinate with Deans, Directors and Heads of Units to identity staff academic and professional development needs and address these needs
• Provide advice to Schools/Directorates/Units on quality assurance policies and accreditation requirements by Regulatory Authorities and assure adherence to set guidelines.
• Liaise with national regulatory authorities to ensure compliance of programmes of study to standards and their accreditation
• Plan and implement professional development programmes to help University staff achieve higher standards.
• Oversee training on latest teaching, learning, and assessment methods, and on quality control and assurance in higher education
Required Qualifications and Experience
• Grade 12 or Form V certificate with five (5) “O” level Credits which should include English
• A PhD Degree
in a any relevant field.
• Knowledge of University policies
• Knowledge of University governance structure and of national higher education policies
• Minimum five (5) years working experience in similar position
