Job Description
Reporting to the CEO, the Chief of Staff will cover everything behind the scenes to ensure the CEO can focus on Copia’s growth. The Chief of Staff will support the CEO in his decision making as a strategic advisor and sounding board.
The Chief of Staff will ensure efficient working of the company by ensuring the strategy is defined and executed across the company. S/he will identify and solve strategic and/or cross functional operational issues. Specifically, your day to day will include the following:
Facilitate communication and collaboration among senior management and department leaders
Serve as a central point of communication for the CEO, internally and externally; keep the CEO informed
Support strategy making and document business plans and initiative; provide leadership in following up on strategic initiatives
Assist and communicate with executives in decision-making, Programme management, and initiative implementation
Record meeting minutes for all senior team and board meetings and provide follow up as needed
Provide strategic analysis and thought leadership on competitive landscape; keep up with competitive and industry trends
Prepare all materials and logistics for board meetings, and other corporate annual meetings of key constituents
Create CEO level communications including presentations and reports as needed
Identify cross-functional challenges/ bottlenecks and facilitate communication and solutions
Improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity.
Expertly manage the CEO’s calendar to
maximize time efficiency.
Manage and prioritize workflows to ensure that meeting reports, minutes, correspondence and matters for attention are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
Oversee the work of an Executive Assistant who performs administrative and travel related duties.
Qualifications
5+ years’ work experience – strong preference for someone with a management consulting background although exceptional candidates with a background in finance, law or other business fields will also be considered.
Ideally an MBA or other masters from a recognized university.
Expertise in business strategy and financial modelling.
Excellent slide creation skills (e.g. PowerPoint).
Approach both strategic and administrative tasks with the same level of detail sense of urgency and importance.
Comfortable with ambiguity and understand context quickly; you can run with things with little information and guidance.
Flexible and adaptable to what the CEO and business needs.
Have the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.
