COOPI NGO Coordination Administration Assistant Jobs in Kenya

Reporting To: Regional Administrator
Location: Nairobi
Key Tasks: The position holder will be responsible for the administration, cash and accountancy of coordination
Responsibilities
Financial Management
Regular update Desy accounting system.
Filing of the vouchers, receipts and all assigned projects documents after posting
Ensure all incoming invoices are paid on time and ensure compliance with COOPI procedures
Filing of all the administrative correspondence
Ensure a common administrative filling system within the coordination and projects
Preparation of bank transfer and cheque payments
Cash management
Prepare Monthly Bank Reconciliation statements
Assist in the supervision the stocks/inventory documentations
Assist in the follow up of procedures on coordination framework agreement i.e. requirements
Assist in monitoring of logistic funds
Preparation of the monthly statutory deductions and annual Government tax declaration including NGO Board.
Assist in the preparation of annual audit and external capacity assessment
Work relation
The Coordination Administration Assistant will work closely with the Project Administrators in Somalia
Qualifications
Minimum of CPA II
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and or Management or related field, will be an added advantage
Must have knowledge of MS
Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) as well as ability to use internet
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Must be responsible, hardworking, innovative and a team player, as well as be able to work with minimum supervision
Experience:
At least 2 years of relevant working experience in the field of finance and administration with INGOs
