Co-operative Bank Marketing Officer Jobs in Kenya

Our client, a medium sized Savings and credit Co-operative Society with its headoffice in Nairobi County and a membership spread across the country, seeks to recruit a suitably qualified person to fill the following position: Marketing Officer

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the marketing officer shall be responsible for overseeing marketing and publicity function in the Society:

Roles and Responsibilities

Contribute to formulation and implementation of relevant marketing strategies for the SACCO that should include plans for new member recruitment and building and maintaining of the society’s corporate brand image
Network and engage with wide range of stakeholders to create demand and uptake of the Society’s products and services

Organize and attend public events such as exhibitions, field days, workshops and other marketing related activities

Communicate with society’s target audience and manage existing member relationships and member database

Contribute to the production and distribution of relevant marketing materials, including but not limited to brochures, posters, flyers, e-newsletters and DVDs

Prepare detailed and elaborate bi-weekly and monthly reports to facilitate timely decision- making by management.

Conduct regular market research and customer surveys

Monitor competitor activities

Supporting the other colleagues in any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Job Qualifications

Appointment to the position will be made from persons who have:

Relevant bachelor degree plus two (2) years’

experience or diploma with at least four (4) years year experience in the field of marketing.

Must be adept in use of computer software particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word, Internet and current social media tools.

Willing to be employed on commission with a negotiable retainer

Skills & Attributes

Result oriented, with a positive outlook and clear focus on high quality business development and a team player.

Strong presentation skills with the ability to present complex issues clearly and concisely

Good organisation skills

Ability to plan and execute tasks with minimal supervision

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
