Job Description

A Power line construction company is seeking to hire two qualified Electrical Engineers (Construction Manager).

The candidate must have the ability to work independently and manage engineers supervising teams in multiple locations, must demonstrate high integrity and professional ethics and make decisions on the role in a prudent manner.

This position reports to the Project Manager.

Minimum Qualifications,Experience and Requirements

O'Dip. HND, or Graduate electrical/electronics /telecommunications engineer.

Experience in power line construction of voltages 0.240kv to 33kv for over 10 years at senior level.

A team leader.

Ability to PLAN and SUPERVISE construction activities in multiple locations and evaluate DAILY performance. giving Statistical/analytical performance reports.

Proficiency in supervising electrical and power line installations.

Proficiency in computers and ability to read and interpret soft drawings in .kmz and .dwg formats.

Ability to interface with KPLC design and construction systems.

Ability to work independently and exhibit leadership qualities.

Ability to plan, prioritize workload in order to meet required deadlines.

An advantage if participated in last mile construction. KPLC's Labour and Transport programme or REA's outsourced construction programme, or worked in KPLC.

Location and Remuneration

There are two Job locations

Eldoret

Kakamega

The Company subscribes to market-related remuneration.

The Remuneration for this position will be commensurate with the applicant's level of experience and qualifications.
