Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services Grants & Fundraising Officer Jobs in Uganda

Roles and Responsibilities

To meet CoRSU’s agreed fundraising targets
Update the donor database.

Establish clear systems to ensure regular funding and well compiled grant applications are identified and submitted in time.

Explore and develop in coordination with the CEO new and alternative source of funding locally and internationally.

Engage with the public and other institutions to create and maintain networks.

Develop and organise CORSU events (sport event, fundraising, etc) and to work as events coordinator in a concerted manner with other departments.

Develop attractive initiative and plans, supporting colleagues in fundraising.

Keeps Donor Relationships e.g. contributes to coordinate relationships with existing donors, including regular reporting updates.

Ensure up-to date and accurate records are kept of donations, and are easily accessible.

Make presentations to potential donors and make relevant follow up

Participate in the development of publications including Newsletter, Fliers and Brochures

Contribute in identifying partnerships and participate in public fundraising drives.

Helping to develop exciting new creative fundraising strategies through developing resources and working on publicity strategies.

Identifying opportunities by recruiting new supporters and advocates, who represent CoRSU on a local and international level such as Friends of CoRSU and Good will ambassadors.

Contributes in updating and disseminating regularly the CoRSU Program Portfolio
Monitoring the outcome of grant/ subsidy applications by establishing an appropriate data base for monthly reporting.

Academic & Professional qualifications

Essential: University degree preferably in Fundraising, Grants Proposal writing, Project Planning & Management or any other relevant field

Desirable: Project planning and management qualification.

Work experience & skills

Essential: 3 years’ experience in funding proposal writing and a proven track record of writing successful grants.

Excellent writing, communication, presentation and social skills

Project and program management proved experience

Thorough knowledge of MS Office, programme management software

Desirable:

Good understanding of disability.

Experience in working in the NGO/Not-for-Profit sector with proven track record of strategic planning, proposal writing and budgeting for institutional donors. (Experience with EU or USAID funding an advantage)

Excellent communication and coordination skills

Multi lingual skills and willingness to work beyond expected hours.
