Community Development Officer Job at KENDAT

The Kenya Network for Dissemination of Agricultural Technologies (KENDAT) is a Kenyan NGO focused on empowering farming communities to sustainably improve their livelihoods through innovative access to information and technology.

KENDAT seeks to employ a field level staff as follows:

Community Development Officer

  • The Community Development Officer (CDO) will mobilize and develop the capacities of donkey owners, users and related community stakeholders to improve donkey welfare and livelihoods.
  • The CDO will be conversant with agribusiness undertakings of communities.
  • S/he will be involved in development and execution of project strategies and plans, monitoring and evaluation as well as reporting.
  • The minimum qualification for the position is a relevant University Degree and at least three years’ experience, working with rural and peri-urban communities in development empowerment programmes.
  • Candidates with knowledge and experience in project management will have an added advantage.
  • The winning candidate will have exceptional experience mobilizing, organizing and training communities in various skills.
  • S/he will have natural passion to engage in and influence behaviour-change and group dynamics, be innovative and able to write quality reports as practically proven and able to build working relationships with different partners.
  • Fundraising skills and a clean 3-year plus, driving licence will be an added advantage.
