Commodities Fund Management Trustee Jobs in Kenya
IntroductionCommodities Fund is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock
and Fisheries, mandated under Crops Act 2013 to provide sustainable, affordable and
accessible credit and advances to farmers for value chain development of crops
regulated by Agriculture and Food Authority (AFA).
Responsibilities
Implementation of the strategic goals and objectives of the Corporation.
Developing and implementing business plans in support of the Corporation’s strategies.
Providing support and advice on strategic directions to the Board and inspirational leadership to the staff.
Cultivating sound relationships with Government agencies, local and international
business partners and other stakeholders.
Efficiently managing the Fund’s assets in order to enhance effectiveness.
Preparation and presentation of operations and statutory reports to the Board.
Ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a Business related field such as Finance, Management,
Economics, Agricultural Economics or the equivalent from a recognized University.
Masters Degree in a Business related field or Finance, Management, Economics,Agricultural Economics or the equivalent from a recognized University.
Competence in financial, human capital and general administrative management.
Experience in Credit, Banking or Development Finance.
Have a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience with at least five (5) years’experience at senior management level in a successful organization preferably a financial institution.
Show an excellent track record of leadership and the ability to put together,
motivate and retain a cohesive management team and an efficient workforce.
Display aptitude in managing organizational change to generate efficiencies through innovative capacity planning and utilization.
Be entrepreneurial, self-driven individual of impeccable integrity.
Be conversant with and observe principles of Corporate Governance.
Possess excellent interpersonal,communication, negotiation skills.
Proficient in Information Technology with ability to use this in improving business operations.
Undergone training in strategic leadership and development program from a recognized institution.
Membership in good standing of a professional body such as ICPAK, ACCA and or CFA.
Must satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the constitution

Commodities Fund Manager, Finance and Accounting Jobs in Kenya
Responsibilities
Preparation timely financial statements and reports as required by all pertinent laws and regulations and deemed necessary and demanded from time to time by the Board of Trustees.
Regulation, supervision and implementation of a timely, complete and accurate set of accounting books of the Fund reflecting all its activities in a manner commensurate with the relevant legislation, regulation and internal guidelines.
Create and maintain strong financial discipline by planning, controlling and
reporting on the Fund’s financial performance to the Board and Senior Management on a monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly basis.
Prepare, control and monitor the Fund’s revenue, capital and expenditure budget
in line with the strategic and operation plans of the organization.
Monitor and maintain fixed assets register investment portfolio.
Liaise with External auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure that all financial transactions are compliant with existing regulatory instruments and accounting standards.
Maintain good working relationship with the financial institutions and other stakeholders with the aim of securing fund necessary for the operations of the Fund.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Finance or Accounting option) or the equivalent from a recognized university.
Relevant Master’s degree.
At least six (6) years’ relevant work experience and at least 2 years senior
management levels preferably a financial institution.
Working knowledge in Public Financial Management and accounting system.
Experience in working with an Enterprise Resource Planning System
CPA (K) or ACCA qualification is mandatory and must be a member of ICPAK and or ACCA.
Ability to deliver results with minimal supervision work and handle pressure.
Ability to develop, monitor and maintain management information systems and procedures.
High level of integrity and honesty.
Must satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the constitution

Commodities Fund Manager, Credit and Resource Mobilization Jobs in Kenya
Responsibilities
Developing and implementing sound credit administration policies, procedures and
guidelines to facilitate lending of Funds.
Driving performance and providing leadership in credit management, control and reporting across the group.
Developing products from concept to commercialisation.
Review and update the Fund’s credit policy.
Managing customer credit files to ensure all the relevant documentation are in place.
Monitor the credit granting and updating process.
Appraise & review credit applications.
Monitor customers repayment rates in line with respective repayment schedules.
Providing leadership in strategic planning, implementation and credit department performance contracting process.
Maximising staff performance through objective setting, appraisal review and feedback.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or finance related field from a recognised university.
Relevant Master’s degree.
Membership of good standing in a relevant professional body such as Risk management, credit management, Accounting or equivalent.
At least Six (6) years’ credit experience, two (2) years of which should have been in a management position preferably in the financial sector.
Knowledge of money laundering prevention policy and procedures.
Experience in working with an Enterprise Resource Planning System.
Results-orientated, adheres to turn-around times/deadlines.
Team player, approachable, self-motivated.
High level of integrity and honesty.
Proven leadership and good negotiation skills.
Must satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the constitution
