Role Introduction:

Our client, a leader in strategic advertising development, printing, promotions, supply, manufacture, installation for billboards and signage seeks to engage and hire a Commercial Manager who will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of the company’s activities including provision of solutions and proposals to the government.

He will act as a link between the company and government authorities.

Role Profile

Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Acquire and maintain a reasonable understanding of government contracting policies and procedures.
  • Develop, operate and maintain commercial systems and procedures that will meet the needs of the company.
  • Support, review and monitor the development of government business quotations, proposals and tenders.
  • when required assist with negotiation strategy and support sales in bid/contract transition of commercial issues with owners to improve contract performance and margins
    Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of government business trends and competition.
  • Establish and maintain effective business / customer Relationships with the government officials
  • Engage in county opportunities across the country and Lobby for legislation in local Government to regulate license fees and access among others.

    Qualifications

  • A bachelor degree, preferably in engineering, business or even sales and marketing.
  • 5 years professional experience working closely in government sector with good experience in managing business projects and people
  • Ability to influence and negotiate in a wide audience and a team player who can work independently and within a close team to resolve problems.
  • Highly proactive with an ability to think outside the box
  • Ability to build international relationships across functional borders.
